Young local filmmakers to debut short films

The red-carpet screening will feature local directors, producers, and actors

January 3rd, 2016- Reno, NV – Six filmmakers from Northern Nevada will premiere short films

on Friday, January 8th at 7 PM at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall in Carson City.

The screenings will be preceded by a red carpet at 6:30 PM and will culminate in a Q&A with the

filmmakers and actors at 8:30 PM.

The films were all shot on location in Reno, Carson City, Tahoe, and Douglas, and all projects

were directed and/or produced by Northern Nevada high school graduates. The shorts also

showcase the contributions various local actors, actresses, and crew members. Attendees,

particularly the filmmakers and actors, are invited to wear formal attire for the red carpet.

The event is open to the public. All are welcome to attend. There is a $5 suggested donation at

the door. All proceeds will go to the cost of the venue and film festival submissions for the

projects shown.

The films’ local directors and producers include Bishop Manogue ’12 graduate Rebecca Doyle,

Douglas High ’14 graduate Austin Bachman, Wooster High ’14 graduate Chris Casaceli, and

Reno High ’14 graduates Nick Schab and Jacob Fuller. Bachman and Schab are currently

attending the University of Nevada, Reno. The films feature all local actors, many of whom were

cast through Reno’s Tru Talent Agency and Take 2 Performers’ Studio.
