Women look to form 20-30 group
Kristina Wulfing is looking for a few good women. The Active 20-30 Club, traditionally an organization for men, is branching out with the intent of starting a 20-30 group for women.
Wulfing, a 1989 graduate of Douglas High School and a substitute teacher for the Douglas County School District, said she is interested in spearheading the women’s 20-30 Club because the organization traditionally gives all its proceeds to area children’s concerns.
“I do like the fact that all the money stays here and goes to children,” she said. “Plus, it is a good way to meet people my own age.”
Wulfing, 27, said there are already a handful of women who have expressed interest in joining the new organization, which generally represents people between the ages of 20 and 30, Wulfing said.
A get-acquainted meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in joining or asking questions is encouraged to come. The gathering will be held in the meeting room at Two Guys From Italy, 1488 Highway 395 in Minden.
