WNCC offers safeguarding computer class

With the benefits of online shopping, e-mail, and web browsing come’the risks of computer viruses, identity theft, and credit card fraud.

You can greatly reduce these risks with the right Internet information, techniques and software. Western Nevada Community College Douglas is offering a Safeguarding Your Computer Workshop that will arm students with information about computer viruses, Internet security and protecting personal information on your computer.

The non-credit class meets Saturday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. WNCC computer instructor Leonard Mackey will teach the class which meets in the computer lab at WNCC Douglas, 1680 Bently Parkway South, Minden. Cost is $25. Registration closes Mon., April 2. Late registrations cannot be accepted. Students may register using Touch-Tone Telephone Registration or go to http://www.wncc.nevada.edu for Internet registration. For help with registration call 445-3277.
