WNCC offers plenty for kids
The Community Services Division of Western Nevada Community College is offering a number of fun classes for children this spring.
Budding artists will enjoy ten weeks of art in Fun Art Projects for Kids. Lots of cutting, pasting, colors and textures are featured. The class meets Mondays, 3:30-5 p.m., Jan. 26 through April 20 at WNCC, 2201 West College Parkway, in the Aspen Building, room 214. The cost is $75, which includes supplies.
Children who love to draw will enjoy Drawing and Cartooning. Students ages 11-14 will explore the basics of drawing and learn how to apply them to illustrations and cartoons. Class meets Thursday, 3:30-5 p.m., Jan. 22 through March 12 at WNCC in the Aspen Building, room 210. The cost is $80, which includes supplies.
Learn the art of beautiful handwriting in Calligraphy. This class is combined with the adult section and is for students age 8 and older. Class meets Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m., Jan. 21 through Feb. 18 at a location to be announced. The cost is $65.

In Photography for Kids, students will learn composition, design and color. A portion of the class will be hands-on photography of nature and the outdoors. Class meets Wednesdays, Feb. 18 through March 25, 3:30-5 p.m., at WNCC, in the Aspen Building, room 214. The cost is $60.
