WNCC offers job search workshop
The skills needed to obtain and succeed in a job will be taught in a week-long “Job Search Workshop” at Western Nevada Community College, Carson City Jan. 22-26. The non-credit course will focus on work and life skills, the job search process and ways to impress employers in applications, resumes and interviews.
“Students seeking employment will learn essential work skills needed to keep and progress in a position,” instructor Virginia Schnaible said. “They will also learn how to use the computer in accessing Nevada Career Information Services and America’s Job Bank. One of the most important areas we’ll cover is actually landing a job. We will show participants how to package and market themselves through resumes and applications and how to sell themselves during an interview.”
