Western Title donates office furniture to ROP
Western Title in Minden donated several articles of office furniture and equipment to the Rite of Passage juvenile rehabilitation center in Minden. The chairs, desks, printers, typewriters and other items will be used at the various facilities which house the nearly 300 at-risk young men served by Rite of Passage in the Carson Valley and Northern Nevada area.
“The most important use of our financial resources is support of our students,” said Suzanne Schulze, ROP’s business manager, “and the donation of this equipment by Western Title helps us to achieve that goal by providing necessary items which we would have to otherwise purchase.”
Since 1993, Northern Nevada employees of Western Title have reached into their pockets and donated an average of $4,000 a year to charitable causes. The Minden office has most recently made donations to several local organizations that support youths, such as the Carson Valley Children’s Home, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the China Spring Youth Camp.
Patrick Winchell of the Minden office said that supporting the high quality of life in the Carson Valley is an important goal for him and other employees of Western Title.
“We appreciate being part of this community,” he said, “and we will continue to do all we can to support the businesses and residents of the Carson Valley.
