Weak storm could affect Monday commute
A weak storm could cause trouble for Monday morning commuters, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm is expected to drop south across Western Nevada, producing up to 2 inches of snowfall in spots, with less falling in the Sierra.
Forecasters say much of the snow will fall just before or during the morning commute, making for slick roads.
“Do not be fooled by an inch or less of snow,” forecasters said. “Even this small amount can cause icy patches on area roads.”
As the snow wraps up on Monday morning, gusty winds are expected to return, with gusts along the Sierra front reaching 45 mph.
