Valley dancers in "Nutcracker All Jazz’d Up" in Carson

Among the Carson Valley dancers to be in the danceSpirit’s Nutcracker ballet, “All Jazz’d Up,” in Carson City Saturday are Nate Neben, Nathan Neben and Briana Neben, Chloe Hearn, Nikki Plummer, Alana Berning, Katie Riley and Emily Garcia.

Staci Flatness, who was given the title National Miss Spotlight in Las Vegas last summer, will be the Mouse Queen, and Stephanie Neben is stage director, said Sandi Scheer of danceSpirit.

Featured artists include professional Russian character dancers from Los Angeles as the Hagopians, and Carson City’s own Chip Abbott as the Cavalier and Jessica Poley as the Sugarplum Fairy.

The show is billed as a “holiday tradition with an attitude.”

The show will be performed at 2 and 7 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center on Highway 50 E., Carson City. Costs are $10 for adults, $8 for ages 3-16 and 55 and up, and $50 per family for two adults and up to five children.
