Unity Church offers inspirational concert
On Good Friday, April 21, the Unity Church of Today meeting in Genoa will sponsor an inspirational concert of traditional and sacred music featuring well-known Valley musician Patrick Jolly, who is director of music at the church.
The church fund-raising concert will be held in the historic Genoa Community Church on Nixon Street in Genoa and will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and children 7 and under are free.
Jolly, whose rich baritone voice has been heard at various venues in the Valley, will be singing a variety of numbers including “The Lord’s Prayer,” “Ave Maria,” “The Holy City,” “All Good Gifts,” “One God,” “By My Spirit,” “El Shaddai,” “He,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Born Free,” “I Believe,” “One Moment in Time,” “Impossible Dream,” “When You Talk Through a Storm,” “This is the Moment” and “Nessun Dorma.”
John Shipley, a nationally-known pianist and composer, will be accompanying Jolly, as well as playing excepts from his latest composition, “Walk in the Light,” and his popular CD, “Dance of the Jacaranda Tree.”
