‘Then and Now’ subject of Alpine County presentation
Park Ranger Paula Pennington will present “Then and Now,” an overview of Alpine County’s Grover Hot Springs, to members and guests of the Alpine County Historical Society on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Alpine County Museum.
The society extends an invitation for all of those who love to go to the hot springs and who would like to know more about its past history, geology and ecology. Following a brief business meeting that will include election of officers for the year 2000, Pennington will show slides and talk about these popular hot springs. Coffee and home-based items will be served to guests.
The Alpine County Museum is located in the heart of Markleeville on a small hill at the end of School Street.
