Aircraft search continues
The search for a private plane destined for Minden goes into its third day today. Douglas County Search & Rescue is aiding Lyon County in looking for the aircraft.
New Washoe chair
The Washoe Tribal Council will select an interim chair next week at a meeting in Dresslerville, according to the tribe’s Web site. The site is soliciting names for consideration. Each person will be given five minutes to answer the question, “What do you think qualifies you to be the Washoe Tribal Chair person?”
Not done with the freeze
We’ll have one more night of hard freeze before spring weather arrives on Thursday. It was 21 degrees out this morning, which is nowhere near the record of 9 degrees set in 1963, but is still pretty cold. If you covered your plants last night, keep them covered tonight, which it’s supposed to drop to 25 degrees. Otherwise today will be sunny and cool.
