Hot lunches in north county
Douglas County Senior Services will get an extra person to coordinate hot lunches twice a week for north Valley residents at the Indian Hills General Improvement District office. County commissioners approved hiring a part-time person at their budget hearing on Wednesday night.
Get on the bus
Douglas Area Rural Transit will be adding the Gardnerville Walmart and the Ironwood Center to its route starting Monday and in celebration will be allowing people to ride the bus for free for a month.
Free server training today
The Partnership for Community Resources and thee Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting free server training 9-11 a.m. at the Carson Valley Inn. The training’s for business owners, managers and clerks.
