The Oct. 31 R-C Morning Report
Early voting is starting to drop off with 958 voters turning out today. We should see if we can scare the clerks a bit with a big rush to the polls in honor of Halloween. You can vote at the Courthouse 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.
Trick or Treat Safety Street is 3-8 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Trick or treating in Douglas County is also tonight, as are harvest festivals sponsored by local churches at the Fairgrounds and at High Sierra Fellowship on Lucerne.
Back when I was a trick or treater, we had actual Halloween off in honor of Nevada Day. So here’s a nod to the Silver State, whose entry into the union we celebrated last weekend.
It’s not forecast to be as cold tonight as it was last night. Expect a high temperature of 64 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
