The Oct. 29 R-C Morning Report
We’ll find out more today about a fire on Indian Trail Road that destroyed a Foothill home on Sunday afternoon. Initial reports are that it was a controlled burn that got out of hand.
With a red flag warning in place it was good firefighters managed to hold it to 5 acres or so, because it was windy enough to drive the fire into another part of the neighborhood. The airport reported a peak gust on Sunday afternoon of 30 mph.
Fall break is over and the children are headed back to school this morning. Watch for buses and their passengers, and for students walking to school.
After Sunday’s big blow, temperatures will be a little more seasonal dropping down into the 60s under sunny skies during the day. Today expect 61 degrees and a light breeze.
The video morning report will be dark today and Tuesday at least. We’ll see what the lay of the land is after that.
