Early voting continues 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. this week at the historic Douglas County Courthouse, 1616 Eighth St., Minden. You can also early vote 1-5 p.m. at the Kahle Community Center today 236 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline.
The roving polls hit Fish Springs 1-5 p.m. Tuesday. Any registered voter can cast a ballot at any polling place this election.
School’s out for Nevada Day Break this week. Friday is the holiday for the rest of the state and local offices, with the parade on Saturday.
Trick or Treating in Douglas County is on Halloween this year. I’ll prepare a wrap up of events for Saturday’s edition, but I have to plug Trick or Treat safety Street on Wednesday at The CVIC Hall , since The R-C’s a sponsor.
Nevada lottery ticket buyers were clogging Interstate 80 to purchase a chance at a more than $1 billion jackpot. Mad Dog Café is extending its hours to 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Woodfords to accommodate some of the southern traffic.
Expect sunny skies today with a high of 68 degrees and a light breeze out of the east in the afternoon.
