Slightly more than 23 percent of Douglas County registered voters have already cast a ballot in the 2020 General Election. The second day of in-person voting brought that number up to 1,751, which a total of 7,224 mailed ballots have been accepted by the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.
By comparison, in 2016 nearly 60 percent of the county’s voters either went to the polls early or cast an absentee ballot, voting by mail. That left 34.5 percent to vote on Election Day.
