The Nov. 7 R-C Morning Report
At roughly 75 percent, turnout in Douglas County was pretty impressive for a mid-term, though hardly a record. The vote in 2010 was slightly higher, so it will go in the books as the second best turnout in the 21stCentury.
If you think your vote doesn’t matter, talk to Kingsbury resident Dan Norman, who missed being on that general improvement district board by a single vote. The difference between being on the Minden Town Board and not was five whole votes.
I’ve got most results ready to post this morning, but I’m waiting on the fate of Douglas Question 1. When I find out, I’ll tell everyone.
Expect sunny skies today and a high temperature of 64 degrees, with the wind picking up out of the north at 5 mph later this morning. Cold front’s coming through on Thursday, but without any precipitation.
