The Nov. 20 R-C Morning Report
Genoa, Nev. — Today is the last day to donate to the Meals on Wheels Senior Gift Bags at the Douglas County Community & Senior Center sponsored by Young at Heart.
Tuesday’s flood session wasn’t exactly inundated with visitors, which is too bad because there was lots of stuff to learn about flooding in the Carson Valley. If you didn’t have a chance to go, visit http://nevadafloods.org
Monitor Pass joined Ebbetts, Sonora and Tioga passes in closing for tonight’s winter storm. Heavenly Valley received 4 inches of snow over night according to Natural Resources Conservation Service telemetry. While it rained in places in the Valley, the output so far has been less than a tenth of an inch.
There’s a chance of rain and snow showers in the forecast for today and tonight before partly sunny skies return on Thursday. We might see some snow in the Valley, but it’s pretty certain there won’t be much.
