The May 14 R-C Morning Report

Genoa, Nev. — Mottsville Lane is open again according to the Sheriff’s Office. It could close again today depending on irrigators. The West Fork has been running at 13.2 feet, short of the 13.5-foot flood stage, for quite some time.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its open house 5-8 p.m. today at the Judicial & Law Enforcement Center, 1038 Buckeye Road. The jail tours are quite popular, so maybe get hooked up early for that.

There’s supposed to be a big old food truck at the re-opening of the FISH Ranchos Family Service Center on Mitch Drive 4-6 p.m. today.

The first Minden Farmers Market blooms 4-8 p.m. today on Esmeralda Avenue to top off a very busy Tuesday evening.

All those outdoor events will benefit from mostly sunny skies and a high near 74 degrees today. Expect southwest winds 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.
