Genoa, Nev. — A man indicted by the grand jury is scheduled to be arraigned in district court this morning. Jose Rodriguez-Quezada faces a charge of open murder with use of a deadly weapon in connection with the Oct. 3, 2017 death of Reno resident Kevin Edwards, 56, at a Stateline casino.
County commissioners hit the brakes on the 20-year update of the master plan on Monday. At the current rate, it looks like it’s not too much of an exaggeration to say they might get the plan done just in time to start the 25-year update.
The local road workshop is 2 p.m. today at the historic Douglas County Courthouse in Minden. I expect it will be full house.
Wednesday’s storm kicks off with a 12-hour wind advisory at 10 a.m. Expect south to southwest winds at 20-35 mph, gusting to 45-60 mph. That means preparing for power outages and downed trees.
Today will be relatively nice with a high near 52 degrees and sunny skies. The wind will be around 5 mph.
