by staff

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Division conducts the teen open gym program for grades 7-12, Friday and Saturday nights from 7-10 p.m.

The Friday night program takes place in the old gym of the Carson Valley Middle School, located at 1475 Highway 395 in Gardnerville, and the Saturday program is held at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, located at 701 Long Valley Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

The teen open gym is designed to give students a place to hang out with their friends. They can play basketball, volleyball, foosball, board games or just listen to music in a safe, supervised environment.

The teen open gym program is sponsored by the Community Partnership and is offered free of charge to all students. For further information, contact the recreation department at 782-9828.
