St. Patrick’s celebration
Leapin’ Leprechauns! Members and associate-members of the Sierra Nevada Republican Women’s group are preparing for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Come on over to the CVIC Hall on Esmeralda in Minden on Sunday, March 15, for a corned beef and cabbage dinner. Live Irish music will be provided by O’Neill’s Revenge.
The festivities will begin with an “attitude adjustment” hour at 6 p.m. Republican gubernatorial candidate Kenny Guinn will speak briefly about Irish History, and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Beer and wine will be available for a nominal fee. Dinner tickets are $20 each and a limited number will be available at the door Sunday evening.
Everyone in the community is invited, regardless of political persuasion, but profits from the dinner will be donated to Republican candidates.
“Don your best shade of green and come on over for a good time,” said Nancy Clapp, club representative.
