St. Gall offers King services this weekend
Weekend services at St. Gall Catholic Church at 1343 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville will center around the theme of unity, that we in His human family are all one under God, during this Martin Luther King holiday weekend, according to church spokesperson Gail Davenport.
At the 8 a.m. Sunday service, the traditional choir, under the direction of Ted Dollarhide, will perform a musical tribute to Dr. King, with a partial recitation of Dr. King’s inspirational speech, “I have a dream!,” interwoven with the music.
Other services are at 5 p.m. Saturday, en espanol at 7 p.m. Saturday and a 10:30 a.m. Sunday service with contemporary songs, guitar and drums.
Visitors of all faiths, nationalities and races are warmly invited to come together with the St. Gall Catholic community to share in Dr. King’s dream, Davenport said.
