Sorptimist Holiday Home Tour is Sunday
The Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is pleased to be included in the Weekend to remember festivities with its 1999 Holiday Home Tour, says member Didi Chaney.
As a special offering to “put you in the Christmas mood,” a tour of some of the most decorative and decorated homes in the Valley is on the schedule for the “Lighting the Way to the New Millennium” weekend.
On Sunday, Dec. 5, from noon to 4 p.m., tour-goers may visit six exciting and beautiful homes designed to get them into the holiday spirit.
Beginning at noon, all of the following homes will be open for visitation:
– Sue Haugnes’ Wildrose Inn, 2332 Main St., Genoa.
– Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyd, 1005 Lakeside Dr., Gardnerville.
– Gail Della Vedova, 2231 Meadow Lark Lane, Genoa.
– Arlene Gleich, 1668 East Valley Rd., Gardnerville.
– Dick and Lolly Clark, 656 Stones Throw, Gardnerville.
Following the tour will be a reception featuring a special raffle of holiday prizes and an array of wine, wassail and libations with hors d’ oeuvres at Jerry Bing’s home at 1580 Fifth Green Ct., Gardnerville.
Proceeds will benefit all of the Soroptimist International of Carson Valley projects and community activities. Soroptimist International of Carson Valley is part of a world-wide organization for women in management and professions working through service projects to advance human rights and status of women.
