Sierra Nevada 20-30 is looking for used children’s coats

Staff reports, Record Courier

Sierra Nevada 20-30 Club #730 is holding a children’s coat drive. All of the donated coats will be cleaned by Mercury Cleaners and then distributed by FISH to the kids in need.

All of the children who receive the coats live in Carson Valley and the Carson City areas. So far, over 132 coats have been donated.

“We would like to thank all the people who have donated coats, and thanks to the Rancho Grande and Two Guys from Italy restaurants that have allowed the barrels to be located in their restaurants, ” said Terri Billman, director of Sierra Nevada Club #730. “The coat drive will continue until March.”

“One never stands so tall as when they kneel to help a child,” Billman added.

For more information on the children’s coat drive, contact Karyn Webb, 782-8900, or Felicia Albert, 782-3729.
