Shooters started Yosemite fire
A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the shooters who were responsible for setting a fire west of Yosemite that claimed 131 structures and 81,826 acres.
Smoke from the Detwiler fire filled Carson Valley not long after it started on July 16 near the western entrance to Yosemite Valley.
In all 63 homes were destroyed by the fire.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection investigators say the specific circumstances surrounding the cause remain under investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the person or persons responsible for starting the Detwiler fire is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Hotline at 559-498-7867.
