Salaries for district’s top jobs up for debate

Staff Reports

A proposal to move all district-level administrators and officers to a single-salary structure will go before Douglas County School Board trustees on Tuesday.

The proposal entails a 4-percent salary increase to the six cabinet director positions.

School board trustees will hold their regular meeting Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Carson Valley Middle School, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

Board members will discuss pay rates for administrators in surrounding jurisdictions.

Trustees will consider a vote to approve an agreement with Douglas County Confidential Employees for 2015-16 at 5:15 p.m.

Trustees will also consider two resolutions to make final amendments and augmentations to the district’s 2015-16 budgets to reflect financial events that occurred after December 2015.

Public comment is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The school board’s July 12 meeting will be held at the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority Visitor Center.
