Puppets, Laura Ingalls Wilder at the library

Staff reports

Star Time Puppet Shows will present a series of fairy tales at the Douglas County Public Library on Friday, July 24, at 7 p.m.

“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Three Billy Goats Gruff,” “Three Little Pigs” and “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” will be performed by puppeteer Linda Tierney. Tierney also enjoys music with children and will feature a sing-a-long.

The event is for families and children of all ages and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

A performance of Laura Ingalls Wilder by Chautauqua storyteller Cherry Jones will be hosted by the Douglas County Public Library on Wednesday, July 29, at 7 p.m.

If you loved “Little House on the Prairie” books, this is a must see. Laura Ingalls Wilder is all grown up and looking back on her life. This is a Chautauqua-style portrayal of Wilder as an adult.

This event is for children ages 8 and up, and adults, too.

The Douglas County Public Library is located at 1625 Library Lane, Minden, 782-9841.
