Program on life planning set for Merrill Gardens

ElderCare Advisors of Nevada will hold a free seminar on life planning on April 7 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The seminar will deal with the legal aspects of long-term care, tax deductibility of care costs, care, caregiving and guardianship issues. The speakers will guide participants through the care-planning process.

Spouses and adult children of a person with Parkinson’s disease, dementia or other types of disabling conditions are welcome.

The seminar will be held at Merrill Gardens, 1565 Virginia Ranch Road, Gardnerville.

Presenters are Henry W. Cavallera, elderlaw attorney; Felice Cavallera, CPA; Dennis Travers and Kim Spoon, private guardians; and Donna J. Shilinsky, geriatric care manager.
