Presidential race coming to Gardnerville

The dress will be ranch casual Saturday at The Morning in Nevada PAC’s Inaugural Basque Fry, which officially sold out on Aug. 5.

With at least four presidential contenders expected to visit the Corley Ranch, and 1,500 tickets sold across the state, Gardnerville will be a busy place on Saturday thanks to Attorney General Adam Laxalt.

Republican presidential hopefuls Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, Gov. Scott Walker and business woman Carly Fiorina are confirmed as speakers, along with Ambassador John Bolton and Former New York Gov. George Pataki.

All 12 other Republican candidates have been invited to speak at the event. While the schedule is still being firmed up, each candidate will have 12-15 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Special guests at the Basque Fry include cohost and Nevada State Sen. James Settelmeyer, Rep. Joe Heck, R-NV, and U.S. Rep Amodei, R-NV.

Live entertainment will be provided by Nashville, Tenn., country and western band the Davisson Brothers Band.

For those who’ve obtained tickets, the gate opens at 10 a.m.
