Paul Joseph Conatore
A memorial service is 1 p.m. Saturday at High Sierra Fellowship Church for Paul Joseph Conatore, 55, who died Jan. 11, 2011 at his home in Gardnerville. The service will be conducted by Pastor Rich Lammay.
Born Sept. 12, 1955, in Philadelphia to Louis A. and Edith Valentinetti Conatore, he moved to Pueblo, Colo., at age 4 to live with his aunt and uncle Charles “Chila” and Rose Conatore and cousins Mary Jo and Paul D. He attended Lakeview Elementary School and St. Francis Parish until he left for Santa Clara, Calif., in 1967.
He graduated from Wilcox High School in 1974 and then moved to Lake Tahoe where he resided for many years before moving to Gardnerville.
Mr. Conatore was a self-taught guitarist who loved to play whenever he could. He was a member of High Sierra Fellowship and performed in the Worship Band.
He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother Pat, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Conatore is survived by his mother Edith; sisters Dolores “Dee” Voight of Antioch, Calif., Lois Conatore of Pueblo; nieces Meghan Ihle and Lindsey Voight of Antioch; uncle George (Jan) Conatore of Kennewick, Wash., and many cousins and friends.
Arrangements are in the care of FitzHenry’s Carson Valley Funeral Home.
