Parkinson’s symposium coming up at Summerville
Participants should RSVP by Tuesday, Oct. 10, to Summerville at 782-3100 for “Current Approaches in the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease,” a Parkinson’s symposium for patients, families and health care professionals, will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at Summerville at Virginia Creek, 1565 Virginia Ranch Road, Gardnerville.
Guest speakers include Professor John H. Peacock, Parkinson’s Disease specialist, on the topic of “Parkinson’s Disease Update 2000,” Dr. Jeffrey W. Elias, Ph.D., on “Navigating the Parkinson’s Environment: Vision, Cognition and Balance” and Renie Tharp, R.D. and nutritionalist, on “Nutrition as a Basis for Optimum Health.”
Cost for the symposium is $5.
A continental breakfast will be available from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and lunch will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
