Women at Work—Fashion Show at the Governor’s Mansion

Join the Carson City Democratic Women's Club to help raise funds for scholarships and activities from noon- 2 p.m. March 25 at Nevada Stateroom of the Governor's Mansion, 606 Mountain St., Carson City.

Cedric Williams is the featured guest vocalist. Enjoy a luncheon of hardy salads, sandwiches, and dessert by "A Catered Affair." Tickets are $30 in advance and include one drink, wine, beer or specialty cocktail. A no-host bar also available.

Fabulous men's and women's fashions provided by JCPenney, Maurices and C-A-L Ranch Stores, modeled by our community leaders. One weekend only: Hop on over to 1235 Eddy St., Gardnerville when Nevada's only pop-up store opens its doors again on March 17-19. Enjoy this month's "egg-travaganza" with featured artisan "Simply Stella." The Eddy Street Vintage Market opens on the third weekend of every month for just three days. That's when this unique 2,400 square-foot house/store is completely restyled for a themed shopping event. Lots of one-of-a-kind antiques, decorating and gift items that you may never see again. March 25 from 2-4 p.m. is the annual Women's History Remembering Project in commemoration of Women's History Month. Four local women who have made a significant historical contribution to the quality of life in Douglas County will be honored with speeches and exhibits designed around photos and memorabilia related to the honorees. Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park During the "Off-Season."

Although the park's Summer Festival of Arts and History events don't begin until May, guided tours of the historic Dangberg ranch house are available year-round by reservation.
