Shana Morrison performs Saturday

Shana Morrison performs for The Upstage Center Theatre’s “First Anniversary Party and Year Two Launch Celebration,” when she takes the stage with her band, Caledonia, Saturday at 8 p.m.
The concert is preceded by a meet the artist mixer at 6:30 p.m. that includes wine tasting and an array of appetizers. The Upstage management will also be announcing plans for upcoming shows, music workshops and charity work.
Morrison, the daughter of Van Morrison, is an artist in her own right.
What began as a three month break to do something fun following her stint at college, has evolved into a career that has seen the release of two independent projects.
She was signed with Vanguard Records and released her first album “7 Wishes,” earlier this year.
Morrison was enthusiastically received by a near-full house when she played The Upstage in April.

Tickets cost $21 for the concert or $25 for the all-inclusive evening.
Also coming: Laurence Juber, former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney and Wings, as well as an accomplished acoustic guitarist and composer, performs Friday, Oct. 18. Saturday, Oct. 19, Juber leads the first of several planned music workshops.
Tickets for the concert are $21. Tuition for the guitar workshop is $54 with a $5 discount for those who attend his concert.
