Prepare the people to enter the kingdom of God
January 6, 2012
Armageddon this December 21? Some think so. The Mayan calendar is supposedly telling us the end is coming. I don’t know the answer to that question and neither do the Mayans. Jesus said in Matthew 24:36, “however, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.”
One thing we know for sure, the end is getting closer. In Jesus’ day his disciples thought they were in the last days. If that was so, then we are definitely in the last days.
It is a time to be ready for many to enter the kingdom of God. I am encouraged at the number of people asking spiritual questions.
Who has the answers? God has the answers to every question being asked and He has given us a record of them in His Word, The Holy Bible.
What an exciting time we live in.
There are many more prophecies being fulfilled from His Word than from any other writings. If we will only see with our eyes what is happening.

We can’t change when the end comes, but we can change how many come into His kingdom.
The Lord himself wants all to come into His kingdom. 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
And actually we can affect how soon the end will come. Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” So the faster all the people on the earth hear the Gospel, the sooner the Lord comes back.
Our job is to tell people looking for God how and where to find Him. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:13, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Also, God wants us prepared to talk to people about our hope which is in Him. 1 Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.”
In Romans 10:13-15, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written” How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Matthew 28:18-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
That is our command to tell people. So go and do what God wants.
