A funeral service for Warren Michael Anderson, 48, will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Anderson died Sept. 30 at his home in Gardnerville.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., June 4, 1953, to David and Lavonne Brown Anderson.
He graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, Calif., and then worked in the family business manufacturing aircraft fittings.
Mr. Anderson’s parents lived in Gardnerville from 1971 to 1981 and then moved to Centralia, Wash., where they raised thoroughbreds.

He moved to Gardnerville in May 1995 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for two years.
Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his father in 1986 and is survived by his wife Tiffany Anderson of Gardnerville; mother Lavonne Anderson and stepfather Harrold Baird of Centralia; daughters Holly Anderson and Jenny Anderson of Burbank, Calif.; sons Paul Anderson and Johnny Anderson, both of Burbank; and brother John Elliot Anderson of Centralia.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

Life-long Nevada rancher;
former Valley resident
A service for Frank Garner Arcularius, 86, will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at Brune and Buck Mortuary Chapel in Bishop, Calif.
Mr. Arcularius died Sept. 30 in Sparks.
He was born June 11, 1915, in Bishop, Calif., to Frank H. and Lura Garner Arcularius.
He was the grandson of Owens Valley pioneers Wilhelm and Lisetta Arcularius and continued in the long and proud tradition of family ranching during his lifetime in Round Valley, Mammoth Lakes, Long Valley and in Monitor Valley, outside of Tonopah, Nev.
Mr. Arcularius, an avid fisherman and hunter, also lived in Carson Valley for more than 10 years.
Survivors include his children, daughters Shari Chappell and husband Steve of Minden, Katie Greer and husband Bob of Spokane, Wash., Leah Grows and fiance Pat Navarro of San Diego, Calif., and sons Frank H. Arcularius and wife Karen of Irvine, Calif., and Howard C. Arcularius and wife Linda of Bishop; sister Genevieve Clement of Bishop; grandchildren Jacob Arcularius, Jess Arcularius, Bret Arcularius and wife Leslie, Kristi Arcularius, Ben Arcularius and wife Randee, Kristopher Grows, Kasey Grows, Rebecca Chappell and Jordan Chappell; and great-grandchildren Amanda Jean and David Wade Arcularius.
Memorial donations may be made to one’s favorite charity or to Laws Railroad Museum.
27 years in California
A graveside service for Truth S. Courtney, 78, will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at Eastside Memorial Cemetery in Minden.
Mrs. Courtney died Sept. 7 at her Gardnerville home.
She was born in March 14, 1923, in Wadsworth, Ohio, to Raymond and Bertha Cronenberger Sumner.
She was a Gardnerville resident for 16 years, coming from Hacienda Heights, Calif., where she was a teacher/counselor with the Hacienda/La Puenta School District for 27 years.
Preceding Mrs. Courtney in death were her parents and brother Truman Sumner.
She is survived by her daughter Lynne Soulages of Gardnerville; sister Annette Long-acre of Massillan, Ohio; nephews Russell Ford of California and Roger Ford of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and great-niece Melanie Ford of Arizona.

Thomas Engle III
“Music was his first love”;
enjoyed the outdoors
Thomas (Kris) Lamont Engle III died Sept. 30 at his Gardnerville home.
Viewing will be Friday, Oct. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. at FitzHenry’s Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville, and a graveside service will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at the Genoa Cemetery in Genoa.
Mr. Engle was born June 30, 1969, in Riverside, Calif., to Thomas Lamont Engle Jr. and Amberly Bell Engle.
He lived in Gardnerville for 12 years, coming from Los Angeles, and worked at Bently Nevada as a manufacturing technician.
He wrote his own music and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved camping, snow skiing and animals.
Surviving Mr. Engle are hisfather Thomas Lamont Engle Jr. of Washington and mother Amberly Engle of Castro Valley, Calif.; grandparents Thomas Engle Sr. and Marilyn Engle of California; companion Sabrina Lohr of Gardnerville; and children Rommel and Drago.
