Winter safety day Saturday
Winter Training and Safety Day is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday In Hope Valley. Event features Alpine County Search & Rescue and Hope Valley outdoor training with beacons, GPS, maps, and probes. Get tips on being prepared, meet Dummy Bob, learn to cross-country ski, play softball wearing snowshoes, sledding for children. This is a free event but donations accepted. Sertoma bingo this week
This month’s Carson Valley Sertoma Community Bingo is Saturday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. Doors open at 11 a.m., early bird at 12:30 p.m., regular session at 1 p.m. Progressive blackout is $250 with 48 numbers or less. Drawing for raffle prizes. Coffee and popcorn provided. Auditions for ‘Cinderella’
Auditions for TOAD’s stage production of Disney’s “Cinderella” are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, 701 Long Valley Road, Gardnerville Ranchos. Students age 5-11 should prepare a one-minute song. Rehearsals begin Sunday. Tuition $100. Financial assistance available.
