Great job supporting cause, Carson Valley
July 12, 2012
On behalf of the membership of the East Fork Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local No. 3726, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association fill the boot fundraising drive. You helped us raise $7,500 for the MDA during the parade and over the Carson Valley Days weekend. All the money collected will stay locally to help MDA families in need.
The East Fork Professional Firefighters would like to especially thank one of our local MDA families: Kylie, Jim, and Dianne Hartigan for their continued courage and inspiration for us to continue the fight for Kylie. We thank Brad and Julie Hollander for the use of their 1957 Seagraves Ladder Truck in the Carson Valley Days Parade. Thank you to Reay Palmer, Sierra Highlands Pipe Major, our full Scottish regalia bagpiper, for leading our entry in the parade, and thank you to Shear Heaven for the use of the parking lot for us to set up after the parade and continue to collect donations.
In our profession we respond to 9-1-1 emergencies every day to help people. It never ceases to amaze us, that when your local firefighters need your help, just how generous the Carson Valley community responds. Thank you Carson Valley, you are our heroes.
