Daughters of Norway met
December 14, 2004
The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet in Carson City at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the recreation room of the Comstock Mobile Village at 2601 E. College Parkway.
We will have a smorgasbord to celebrate the Queen Maud Lodge Christmas Dinner and party.
Lutefisk, the piece of God that passes all understanding will be served. You either love it or hate it! We will also have ham and Norwegian meatballs.
This is for the whole family. Sandy Tucker will teach and help the children make traditional Christmas paper hearts to hang on the tree.
Founded in Oct. 20, 2001, the group presents programs to preserve Norwegian heritage and maintain knowledge of the history, culture and language of Norway, and to build a support system and friendship within the group.
Women are invited to join the lodge that are of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage or who are married or have been married to a Norwegian.
