Obituary: Teena Wyatt
A funeral service for Teena Frank Wyatt, 81, will be held today, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at FitzHenry’s Chapel of Faith in Carson City.
Burial will follow at Frank Cemetery in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Wyatt died on Sept. 3 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City.
She was born on March 30, 1918, to Senna and Clara Holbrook Frank in Northern Nevada, where she lived all her life.
Mrs. Wyatt was a member of the Washoe Tribe. She served on the Dresslerville Senior Citizens Advisory Council, the Save the Children committee, was a “Foster Grandmother,” and a Dresslerville Sage Hen.
A born again Christian, she was a member of the Main River Christian Fellowship.
Mrs. Wyatt was predeceased by her husband, Evan Wyatt, in 1976, a son, Wes Wyatt, in 1976 and a daughter, Deanna Wyatt, in 1970.
Surviving are her sons, Eugene Frank and Arthur Selman of Dresslerville, daughters Bernadine James, Eleanor Smokey, Kay Simpson, Denise Pitts and Julie Wyatt, all of Dresslerville, and Loretta New Moon of Wadsworth, Nev., and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
FitzHenry’s Funeral Home in Carson City handled arrangements.
