Obituary: Samuel V. Green III (Unkie)

Samuel was born in 1965 in Portland, Oregon. His parents relocated to Anchorage, Alaska in 1966, where he lived until moving to Lake Tahoe in 1979. Samuel graduated from Douglas High in 1984, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1992 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration/Finance. After graduation, Samuel began working for Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in the gaming industry. In 1997, he transferred with the Harrah’s Corporation to Las Vegas, where he later worked at the Bellagio. He returned to Northern Nevada in 2010, where he resided and worked at FISH until his unexpected death on July 18, 2012. His mother, Andrea Miller Jeffers, preceded Samuel in death.
He is survived by his grandmother, Patricia Green; father, Samuel V. Green Jr.; stepfathers’ Dee Jeffers, and Tom Jacobs; sister, Sonja (Sonny) R. Gorgon; brother-in-law Scott M. Gorgon; stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces Corinna M. Gorgon and Celinna A. Gorgon who were the loves of his life, uncles, aunts, cousins and many wonderful friends.
Samuel enjoyed photography and viewed the world through a camera lens. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, but he is now with the Lord, and we will all see him again one day. He is at peace now, we love you Unkie.
Services to be held at 11 o’clock August 4, 2012 in Carson City, Nevada at Ross Gold Park. Friends and family are welcome.
