Obituary: Raymond E. Johnson
Raymond E. Johnson, 80, born March 20, 1932 in Richmond, Virginia passed away in Carson City, Nevada July 24, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Ray was a long time resident of Coleville, California, an area he truly loved. He was an Eagle Scout and Army Veteran. He graduated from San Jose State with a Bachelors degree in political science, however, his passion and career was in the aviation industry focused on helicopters and antique aircraft with his father in law James Ricklefs.
Ray is preceded in death by the love of his life Naja: Mother Alice and Father Carl.
He is survived by his sister Dolores, his four children, Nadine (Steve) Harry, Michael (Heather) Johnson, Lisa (Jim) Lowe, and Scott (Karen) Johnson. Nine grandchildren, Sara (Brandon) Munis, Samantha, Jeffrey, Kayla (Travis) Babbit, Tim, Kyle, Maxim, Matisse, and Ryan. One Great grandchild, Lexi. And our closest family friends Lauretta and Phil Cochran.
Ray was an avid supporter of the local high school athletic programs and we would request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Coleville High School Booster club. http://www.colevilleboosters.com/
Graveside services will be held at the Antelope Valley Cemetery at 2 p.m. on July 28, 2012. Arrangements entrusted to Walton’s Funerals & Cremations, Gardnerville, Nevada.
