Obituary: Louie J. Sheffield (Sparky)

Louie J. Sheffield (Sparky) passed away in Gardnerville, Nevada, on December 12, 2011. He had lived in Gardnerville for 21 years moving from Corona, CA. Louie was born August 23, 1921, in Glenwood, Arkansas, He served in the U.S. Navy, and was a Chief Specialist Tech. After his service in the Navy, he began a career in Metalworking and Production Industry. He was part of the team that developed the Waste King Garbage Disposal. He was in charge of processing, warehousing and plant personnel for over 25 years. Later in his career he worked in the Trucking Industry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William D Sheffield and Willie E. Wright Sheffield. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine Walker Sheffield; sons, Jerry Sheffield, Scott Sheffield and Craig Sheffield (Marcy), Michael Walker and Raymond Walker; daughters, Cynthia White, Cathleen Lyons (Dan) and Connie Walker; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and also his two dogs Snickers and Prancer.

A celebration of life was held at Louie’s home on December 18, 2011 with family and friends.
