Obituary: Donald Clay Hunter

A Man of Faith.

Born in Hominy, Okla. Raised in Knights Landing, Calif.

He was a proud member of the class of ’54 Woodland High School Calif.

Military Service US Army 1955 to 1957

Graduate of California highway Patrol Academy Badge #2997

Retired from Chevron Corporation after 22 years of service

Member of Tahoe/Douglas Elks Lodge #2670.

Don was a SINGER; 50 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society

And member of the Chorus of the Comstock.

He was a blue water SAILOR, as well as a member of the Potter Yachters.

He was an avid GARDENER.

He loved to talk, and will be missed by many friends and his family.

Wife, Lynn of Minden;

Brothers, Bob of Cloverdale, Calif., Wayne of Cumming, Ga;

Daughter, Elaine of La Center, Wash.; Son, Dan of Reno; Grandchildren, Alicia, Ryan, Andrea, Tristan;

and “Papa” to Jocelyn, Jaydess, “Grandpa” to Michael and Sean.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Drs. Forman, Miercort, Kelly and Murphy and staff, for their personal and professional care during Don’s illness.

Dec. 2, 2012 at 1 p.m. Harvest Bible Chapel

At his request his ashes will be scattered at sea.
