The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister Louise Marie Young.

Louise Marie Young was born in Minden, Nevada on December 29, 1927 to parents Henry Dreyer and Marie Dreyer. She was reborn as a child of God in the waters of Holy Baptism in 1928. On June 19, 1942, she was confirmed in the Christian faith and was fed the life-giving body and blood of Jesus. She was united in holy marriage to Thomas Tyler Young on June 26, 1949, and blessed with 58 1/2 years of married life together. God also blessed them with the gift of two sons,Frederick and Edward. On November 30, 2016, God called Louise home to heaven.

Louise and Tom made their home in Carson City, Nevada. Louise worked in the family business and was a homemaker. Louise was a charter member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Through the years she was active in the church. She was also an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, Mounntain Quail and Sagebrush Model "A" Ford Clubs, and the SageBrush Studebaker Club.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Marie and her sister Mildred.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Frederick (Dorothy) and Edward (Lori) of Jacks Valley, Nevada; her grandchildren, Susan, Adam, Lisa and Christine; great-granddaughter Elizabeth; and several nephews. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

A Memorial Service will be held on December 17, 2016 at 11 am, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1837 Mountain St.,Carson City, Nevada

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Louise's Memory to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School.

The family will hold a private interment prior to the Memorial Service.
