Joseph and his wife, June were laid to rest in the family site in Fallon, Nevada on Saturday, February 18th with the immediate family present.

Joe was a native of Massachusetts, born in Weymouth, moved to Marla Bay, Lake Tahoe in 1945, attended Douglas High School and served three years in the Navy after high school as a jet mechanic.

After the Navy, Joe entered Law Enforcement as a Deputy for the Douglas County Sheriff's office and later went to Bentley Nevada Corporation in security. Upon the acquisition of Bentley, Joe worked security at the Fandango until his retirement.

Joe was an avid motorcycle rider and a talented graphic artist, designing many of the Law Enforcement patches throughout Nevada and others, including the Town of Minden and Gardnerville's 125th year celebration.

June was a native Montanan, born in Hamilton. Her family moved to Fallon when she was 4 years old, where she graduated from the Fallon High School, Green Waves.

June was formerly, a dispatcher with the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, where she met Joe, a legal clerk for the Tahoe Justice Court, an officer with the Legal Secretaries Association and then served a long career with Bentley Nevada Corporation, continuing with General Electric Corporation after the acquisition as a customer service representative.

Joe and June were founders of the El Rancho Saddle Club and The Wandering Wheels Motorcycle Club, both of Douglas County.

They are survived by their daughter, Tina DeLorey of Minden.

Joe is survived by two brothers, Paul(Butch) DeLorey of Sparks, Danny DeLorey of Gardnerville and niece Candace and nephew Bill.
