No Stress Express donates $1,000 to Friends of Library

Staff reports

Owner A.R. Fairman and Regional Manager Bill White of No Stress Express donated $1,000 to the Friends of the Douglas County Library to be used for video equipment for the children’s program.

The video equipment will be used to record children’s programs and then broadcast on Public Access Television for children who are unable to attend.

According to Friends President Linda Class, the donation fills a need.

“We couldn’t have gone out and bought a video camera. And of course, it will really help with kids off-track or even on-track who can’t go to the storytime programs,” she said. “They can still see it.”

The owner, Class added, said he wanted his donation to be used for children’s programs, and the Friends group decided the video equipment would an excellent use for the money.

Often, she added, programs are aimed at adults as well, and can be videoed and broadcast.

A check was given to Class by Fairman’s daughter Susie White, 6, at the library on May 9.
