Next master gardener program is about perennials
Tired of planting every spring? If so, don’t miss master gardener Susan Daugherty’s free presentation in Carson City on growing perennials in Northern Nevada.
The master gardener program is sponsored by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.
The workshop will be held at Carson City Senior Center, 901 Beverly Dr., Carson City (corner of Beverly and Roop), Thursday, Aug. 3 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Daugherty’s program is also sponsored by the Carson City Senior Center Club.
She will tell what types of perennials grow best in Northern Nevada and give tips on planting, fertilizing and maintaining them. For more information on this presentation, call Peggy Hill, 884-2132.
The master gardener program trains local gardeners and works with them to disseminate environmentally sensitive gardening information to their communities. The next master gardener training session will be Sept. 12 through Oct. 12, Tuesday through Thursday evenings, in Carson City.
