Neighborhood Council seeks members
Members are needed for the Neighborhood Council, an advisory group to the Family Support Council.
“Wouldn’t it be wonderful to start off the new year connected with your community,” asked Martie Graham-Jones of the Family Support Council.
The council was formed to discuss issues and problems in the community and to suggest possible ways the Family Support Council could address these concerns, she said.
The Neighborhood Council is comprised mostly of Douglas County residents with children in Douglas County schools.
Graham-Jones said that members think a larger membership on the council would help it gain a broader prospective of the community and its needs.
The council meets quarterly and the next meeting will be held Jan. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Family Support Council office, 1255 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.
