Murder mystery coming to Genoa’s Dake House

Staff Reports

The Dake House Murder Mystery Dinner Theater offers fine food, hilarity and the chance to win a prize, all packaged in an authentic 1870s Victorian House in Genoa.

Dinner includes the “Jacob Donner Special” and the mystery, unforgettable characters such as Magnolia Moss Rose Dake, Iris Bluehart, Jacob Donner, Rosa and Hoffa Hoffa.

“These characters will keep you guessing at what happens next,” said Martha Williams, owner of the Dake House. “Participation of guests is encouraged, and rolling on the floor with laughter will be permitted.”

There will be a prize for the clever guest who solves the murder(s?), Williams said.

The mystery will take place promptly at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21 at a cost of $45 per person. Seating is limited.
